I STARTED MY OWN HOUSE CLEANING BUSINESS…?

I longed for to ask a little opinions. How most do you customarily begin charging? I have been seeking around and I have seen .00 an hour as the minimum. Also how do you know if the residence is going to be protected to go to? Is it improved to encounter with your customer in open first, afterwards go to thier house? Are there any guilt issues I should be wakeful of?

You need to be bonded, in case you are ever accused of stealing. I would never let someone in my house to clean who wasn’t. Check about getting liability insurance also, in case you accidently damage something or someone trips over your vacuum cord and decides to sue you.

$20.00 per hour is a good to low rate. Around here, $50-60 for a two hour light cleaning is about average, $150 for a more in depth half day cleaning.

I would meet with the client in their home so you know what you are getting into, but don’t go to the first meeting alone, bring someone with you and let a third person know where you are going and check in with them when you return. You can’t be too safe!
